Beat 6-18 on normal hero stages to get 10 medals which is enought to hire this hero then collect more medals to upgrade it.

Elementalist medals can be collected from Hero Stages:

Elite 6-18 – “Ending the Dreams“
Elite 8-15 – “Trial of Elements“

How to Upgrade Elementalist

You need to collect 20 medals to make it green, 50 to blue, 100 to purple, and 150 to gold. That’s a total of 320 medals to upgrade this hero from White to Gold grade.
